Tracer Study Of Senior High School Graduates of St. Mary's College of Bansalan, Inc

St. Mary's College of Bansalan, Inc. (SMCBI) is one among the private schools in the municipality who offers Senior High School Courses with primary concern of producing graduates who are college and work ready. This tracer study aimed to track the first batch of Senior High School Graduates of St. Mary's College of Bansalan, Inc. in the academic year 2018-2019. It used a descriptive quantitative research design, a total of 117 SHS graduate respondents responded to participate by answering via google for. The survey questionnaire was adopted from the Tracer Study conducted by the DACS. The results revealed that 85.5% of the respondents enrolled in college while 9.4% sought for an employment. Data revealed further that those who sought for employment where majority working in the field of Restaurant and Food Services (36.4%) which is in accordance to the qualification that the SHS graduates had in their senior high school days which is Food and Beverage Services NC II (14.5%).

Aloha International Journal of Multidisciplinary Advancement (AIJMU)

Tracing graduates offers empirical data about the graduates' employment and competencies. The study aimed to assess relevance of the program's curriculum and seeks to provide empirical data on the employment and competencies of the graduates of Eastern Visayas State University- Ormoc City Campus in 2005-2017 since this is the first time to conduct a tracer study. Using a descriptive survey, 241 graduates responded to a CHED standardized tracer study questionnaire. Frequency counts, percentage, mean, and ranking were used. Results revealed that the most of the graduates who responded were female, single professionals and working in the government with regular or permanent status. Most of the respondents are BS Mechanical and Civil Engineering and mostly Board Examination passers. Some of the respondents landed on their first job within the span of six months with gross monthly salary is within Php 5,000 to Php 15,000. Most of the respondents have stayed with their job for sal.

This study aimed to determine the employability of Batangas State University-Lipa City graduates within two (2) years after graduation. In this tracer study the BatStateU-Lipa City graduates of School Year 2017 -2018 are the participants. To obtain the needed information, the researchers used online survey to be filled in by the graduates. The survey questionnaire served as the data gathering instrument. The subjects of the study were 454 graduates whose names were drawn randomly from the master list of 514 graduates of the four colleges offering different academic programs. Findings of the study revealed that almost all of the BatStateU-Lipa City graduates are currently employed and working in a full time basis. On the other hand, more than half are holding permanent position. However, most of them are not yet pursuing masters’ degree or post graduate studies. The developed alumni directory will help the University in tracking the alumni and to easily collect and update the persona.

Higher education institutions are expected to produce quality and competitive graduates for the job market and nation-building. In realizing this role, Bukidnon State University needs to ensure that graduates may land a job-relevant and align with their education and training. With this, a tracer study was conducted to verify whether the three batches of graduates are employed and are employable. It ascertained their employability based on their work experience from graduation to the present job. It employed a cross-sectional method and data mining for the information of 326 graduates. The results revealed that the majority of graduates had jobs relevant to their education and training; however, there was a significant difference in the employability of graduates across batches, except in terms of gender. Biological Science, Social Studies and Math graduates were employable within the first six and twelve months compared to graduates from other curricula. It was claimed that the BukSU had prepared BSE graduates for employment. However, these results have implications for strategic options in improving the programs. The study made some recommendations for future tracer initiatives.

Every higher academic institution in the Philippines is geared towards the delivery of quality higher education to its clientele alongside various academic thrusts like research, extension and among others. The study is conducted to trace the employability status of the BSBA marketing management graduates of Palawan State University Coron campus from the school year 2018-2020. A quantitative research methodology was used in the study utilizing the standard tracer study questionnaire form of the Commission of Higher Education (CHED). The study was conducted on all twenty-eight (28) BSBA marketing management graduates of PSU Coron and was conducted through a combination of face-to-face and online interviews. The findings revealed that most graduates are female, unmarried and regular or permanent employees. The majority of the respondents work in the retail and wholesale trade located primarily in the Palawan province. Most of the participants are employed in rank-and-file or clerical positions whose monthly incoming ranges from P5000-P10,000. Ultimately, communication skills were the competencies gained by the graduates that are useful to their present jobs. It can be inferred that the BSBA marketing management graduates are currently employed and enjoying the corporate industry. The knowledge and skills they have gained from the university significantly improve their competence. Thus, the researchers recommend conducting a follow-up tracer study of the program to continuously assess the employability status of the graduates and propose measures to improve the curriculum of the program.

Tracer studies enhance curriculum relevance and marketability of educational programs. Knowledge on employment of CSPC graduates assists in formulating policy towards combating unemployment and producing globally competitive BSIT graduates. This study determines the employability of BSIT graduates of SY 2004-2010 and unveil specifically their personal profile, level of competency alongknowledge, skills and attitudes, significant relationship of the level of competency and the level of difficulties encountered along knowledge, skills, and attitudes and the measures to enhance their competitiveness. The study used descriptive method. Data gathered through a questionnaire from 155 respondents were statistically treated using averaging, percentage, weighted mean and Spearman Rho. Most respondents were female, 20-25 years old, TESDA-certified, employed in private sectors, incompetent in SY 2003-2004, competent in SY 2005-2010and encountered difficulty along knowledge, skills, and attitudes. There is no significant relationship in the level of competencies among graduates per school year and theirlevel of difficulty along knowledge, skills and attitudes. Some measures to enhance their competitivenessinclude conducting TESDA Assessment and Civil Service examination review and IT Faculty in-house trainings and strengthening English Proficiency Program. BSIT graduates of SY 2004-2010 are competent despite difficulties encountered along skills, attitudes and knowledge.

Tracer study is an approach that allows college institutions to obtain information about possible deficiencies in the educational process and learning process. It can also be the basis for future improvement planning activities. This tracer study research could see the illustration of two sides, namely the graduates’ side as the service user of the education institution and the stakeholder side as the graduate user. This tracer study aimed at getting an overview of the lecture program that had been obtained by the graduates, as well as the quality of graduates produced by the Department of Management. The target of this tracer study was the alumni of Management Department graduates in 2013 - 2015 and the stakeholders in this case were the service users of Management department graduates. The results of this study indicated that the graduates produced by the Management Department had an average waiting time of less than 12 months (1 year) to obtain a job. The types of jobs graduated.

This research investigation aims to assess BSED education graduates employability of Naval State University. The findings can serves as inputs for curricular redirection. Commission on Higher Education (CHED) questionnaires and rating scales was utilized in this study. The study were utilized descriptive survey research design which scope is focus from SY 2005-2010 BSED graduates of Naval State University. Study revealed that females are dominating the involvement of students in an organization most of them were roman catholic and majority are first year college, students who are members of the organization in the university are supported with scholarship and the organization of the university are registered by the Student Affairs Office. These organization are academic in nature, students were actively involved in co-curricular activities and other events in the university.
